The Commercial Transport Operators have publicly praised President John Dramani Mahama, Minister for Roads and Highways Kwame Agbodza, and Deputy Minister Alhassan Suhuyini for their dedication to the Ofankor-Nsawam road project.
The group extended their appreciation to the government for its commitment to providing quality roads throughout the country.
Mr. Yaw Barimah, PRO for the True Drivers Union, acknowledged the progress of the project, stating that the improved road conditions have made it easier for transport operators to work.
Speaking on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM’s Nyankonton Mu Nsem, he noted that the President’s visit to the site was particularly encouraging, as it showed that authorities are listening to the concerns of the people.
“We say ‘Ayekooo!’ to the President, the Minister, and his deputy for their dedication to improving our road infrastructure,” Mr. Barimah said. “The impact of their work is felt by all road users, and we are grateful for their tireless efforts in ensuring that our roads are safe and accessible.”
While commending the ongoing work, Mr. Barimah urged the government to apply the same focus and seriousness to other road projects across the nation. He emphasized that this would help address the many deplorable roads in the country.
“We call on the government to continue its efforts in maintaining and expanding our road network,” he added. “We are confident that with their leadership, our roads will continue to improve, and our transportation services will become more efficient.”
Mr. Barimah concluded by highlighting the importance of well-maintained roads for economic growth and national development, urging authorities to continue their work to ensure good roads are accessible throughout the country.
