Kwabena Aboagye was arrested by police in connection with the death of his three-month-old infant.
The baby was discovered dead in Dompoase/Aprabon.
Police say the baby’s mother, Spendylove Aninwa, a WASSCE candidate, left the child in the care of the father, Kwabena Aboagye, on Monday morning while she went to write her exam.
Upon her return, Aboagye’s younger sister handed the baby to her, saying the child was asleep.
The mother, however, noticed the baby was unresponsive and rushed him to a clinic at Sokoban Wood Village, where he was pronounced dead.
Police investigators who went to the hospital saw the baby wrapped in a sweater with no visible marks on the body.
The remains have since been transferred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy.
The suspect is currently in custody, assisting officers with the investigation.
