The Kpong Fire Station successfully rescued an accident victim at Adelekope on the Tema-Akosombo Highway.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) reported that it received a distress call at 6:21 a.m. on Monday, September 15, 2025, and a rescue team was promptly dispatched to the scene just two minutes later.

Upon arrival, fire officials discovered a Howo Tipper Truck with registration number GN 9147-17 that had veered off the road and collided with a tree.
Using specialised extrication tools, the officers were able to free the trapped driver from the vehicle.

Following the rescue, the driver was handed over to the National Ambulance Service and transported to the Akuse Government Hospital for medical treatment.

GNFS RESCUES ACCIDENT VICTIM ON TEMA–AKOSOMBO HIGHWAY
On Monday, 15th September 2025, the Kpong Fire Station received a distress accident call at 6:21 a.m. and swiftly dispatched a rescue team at 6:23 a.m. to Adelekope on the Tema–Akosombo Highway, arriving at 6:32 a.m.
The crew found a Howo Tipper Truck (GN 9147-17) that had veered off the road and crashed into a tree. GNFS Rescuers used extrication tools to rescue the trapped driver, who was handed over to the National Ambulance Service and rushed to Akuse Government Hospital for treatment.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. The crashed scene was cleared at 8:55 a.m. and the crew returned safely to base at 9:06 a.m.
