Students of Tamale Technical University demonstrated on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, over claims of an undue increase in school fees and the deplorable state of the university’s infrastructure.
The demonstration escalated, after which the police were invited to maintain law and order. Armed officers stormed the school, using riot control measures to disperse the demonstrating students.
One of the students was hit several times by live rubber bullets.
Others were also seen being physically assaulted by the police. Calm has since returned to the school, Rainbowradioonline.com has gathered.
