A woman who was reportedly electrocuted and presumed dead by her family has regained consciousness.
The incident occurred at Gomoa Nyanyano in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.
According to Nana Odehye, relatives of the woman, who is believed to be in her 30s, wept uncontrollably, thinking she had passed away.
They were preparing to send her remains to the mortuary for preservation.
Nana Odehye indicated that the victim was seen leaning on the side of her house, electrocuted after a brief period of drizzling.
While family and loved ones were mourning and preparing her body for conveyance to the mortuary, she shockingly opened her eyes and began shaking her body.
This sparked fear among the family and mourners, causing them to flee the room where her body was being prepared for transport to the mortuary.
The victim has since been taken to the hospital for treatment.
