The University for Development Studies (UDS) has made history following its victory in the final game at the FISU World University Football Tournament.
The Ghanaian university secured a 2-1 victory over Brazil’s Paulista University in the final on Sunday.
Paulista University scored the first goal, which was scored by Gabriel in the opening 30 seconds of the match.
UDS stayed focused and came back stronger with a goal from captain Mohammed Sulemana in injury time to level the score.
In extra time, Ezedeen Alhassan scored directly from a corner kick to seal a comeback and spark wild celebrations.
