A man, identified as Martin Issah and believed to be in his late 30s, was fatally shot by unknown assailants at Aketechieso, a mining community in the Amansie Central District of the Ashanti Region.
The incident occurred on Sunday, October 5, 2025, while Mr. Issah and his brother, Daniel Issah, were returning from mining operations in Adomanu.
Upon reaching Aketechieso, the two men were reportedly ambushed by unknown gunmen who demanded their gold detector machine.
Mr. Issah was pronounced dead at the scene. His body has since been deposited at the morgue, and his injured brother, Daniel Issah, is currently receiving treatment.
The Police have launched an official investigation into the incident.
