Two Immigration Officers were ambushed and shot late Sunday night, November 2, in Nagani, Tempane District, Upper East Region, while returning from night duty on a motorbike.
Unidentified assailants opened fire on them, having laid ambush.
The victims were rushed to the Upper East Regional Hospital in Bolgatanga for emergency medical treatment.
An investigation has been launched, although the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) has not issued an official statement.
Sources indicate a formal investigation is underway to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.
