The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has conducted a large-scale operation in Kumasi, Ghana, resulting in the arrest of 320 individuals implicated in human trafficking and fraud.

According to officials, this is the most extensive anti-human trafficking operation in the nation’s history.

In a press statement issued on Thursday, November 6, 2025, EOCO revealed that its Anti-Human Trafficking Unit executed two simultaneous raids at distinct locations in Kumasi.

Following an initial evaluation, 25 suspects are believed to be involved in illicit activities, while 295 others are thought to be victims of human trafficking and employment scams linked to QNET.

The arrests were the culmination of months-long investigations into economic crimes and organized fraud schemes.

EOCO stated that the screening process is ongoing, and the 25 suspects will undergo further investigation.

This operation marks the second significant crackdown in recent weeks, following a similar operation in Kasoa that led to the arrest of 26 individuals two weeks prior.

EOCO is collaborating with QNET to prevent criminals from exploiting the company’s name to deceive innocent citizens, the statement added.
