The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has announced the introduction of a new passport application system, which guarantees the issuance of a passport within a day.
This new system, he notes, comes with special charges.
He clarified that this is not a super expedited solution to address all emergencies.
In a Facebook post, he explained that the expedited passport application will assist with medical emergencies, expired passports, among other situations.
The Minister stated that the cost for this service is Ghc2,000, while the regular passport application fee remains Ghc350.
