A young individual suspected of being a serial goat thief has been apprehended at Twifo Tenewaaso (New Market).
The arrest has reportedly elicited excitement among residents in the community, as goat theft in the area had become increasingly rampant.
Several residents had complained about losing their goats to thieves who had evaded capture.
The suspect, identified as Yaw Joseph, was allegedly caught in the act of stealing another goat.
According to Nana Amoabeng Kotooko, reporting for Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, the community was overjoyed, and the news spread rapidly.
Nana Okumkom Kwabina Nsiah, the Chief of the community, revealed that he was also a victim of Yaw’s thieving activities.
The reporter added that residents in the area wanted to attack the suspect, but police intervention prevented this.
