Foreign Affairs Minsiter Dr Okudzeto Ablakwa has revealed that Qatar has expressed interest in recruiting Ghanaian professionals.
The specific areas that they intend to employ are in the health, tourism, IT, transport, and logistics sectors.

He disclosed this in a statement he shared on his Facebook page.
This was after he had held a meeting with Her Excellency Sheikha Najwa bint Abdulrahman Al Thani, Undersecretary of the Qatar Ministry of Labour.
Mr Ablakwa noted that Ghana and Qatar are also set to formalize their labour cooperation.
Additionally, Qatar has also ratified the labour cooperation agreement with the Ghanaian Parliament expected to ratify it in the next few weeks.
He added “Ghana has additionally requested that Qatar establishes its West African Qatar Visa Centre for labour mobility in Ghana.
Qatar has commended Ghanaian workers for their impressive work ethic and high standards as confirmed by many Qatari CEOs.”

I am delighted that Qatar has expressed interest in immediately recruiting Ghanaian professionals in the health, tourism, IT, transport and logistics sectors.
