The University of Ghana says it is investigating viral video showing a heated exchange between two of its senior faculty members, Prof. Ransford Gyampo and Dr. George Domfeh, during a TV3 current affairs programme aired on Saturday, November 15, 2024.
A statement issued by the school stated that the probe is in line with the University of Ghana Statutes (2024) and the Code of Conduct for Academic Senior Members (2011).
The school has activated internal procedures to review the conduct of both academics and determine appropriate disciplinary measures.
According to the statement, the school remains committed to professionalism, integrity, and decorum from all faculty and staff, adding that these values must guide behaviour in both public and private settings.
“Management remains committed to safeguarding the dignity of the University and maintaining public trust in the institution,” the University added.
