A communication expert and trainer, Raymond Ablorh, has in an opinion piece waded into the debate as to whether students should be allowed to practice their religious beliefs in faith-based institutions that do not align with theirs.
Mr. Ablorh noted that Ghanaians are pretenders or hypocrites who see the Presidency as a reserve for only Christians.
He noted that despite that we have lived harmoniously among ourselves through inter-religious marriages, Christians perceived themselves as the only ones to assume the office of President.
At best, Muslims can only be compensated with the Vice President’s position.
He went on to state that it will take only a coup for a Muslim to assume the position as President.
”We’re just lying to ourselves. Not everything is possible. It’s impossible for Akufo-Addo to play for the Black Stars now. It’s impossible for a Moslem to be a President of Ghana in 2028 unless by coup.
Eventhough we are living harmoniously, and marrying among ourselves, many Christians believe that the Presidency belongs to Christians. To many, a Moslem can be a Vice President, but, not the President. Believe it, or not!”
He opined that for those who supported Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the 2024 general elections, they did so for their “stomachs” and not because they wanted him to win.
He said although we don’t talk about these things publicly, that animosity exists between Christians and Muslims.
”Many of those Christian leaders who campaigned for Dr Bawumia did for their stomachs, and for NPP, but, deep within Christiandom, the clergy never supported him.
These things aren’t talked about publicly for obvious reasons. But, you can observe them in how Christians see Islam in the schools that originally belonged to churches, and how Islamic students are compelled implicitly or otherwise to conform to their religious beliefs and rituals.
During such controversies, pay attention more to what the bishops don’t say than to what they say, and you shall hear what I’m telling you.”
Below is the opinion piece
We claim that religion wasn’t a factor in the 2024 elections, but, many Christians don’t think that Moslems should practise Islam in public schools that were originally owned by churches, and are now government assisted.
We’re just lying to ourselves.
Believe it, or not!
In fact, when praying against evil spirits, some Christians add spirits like kramo huhum, malamfuor humhum, etc. They believe that kramo humhum isn’t of God, so how do they vote for a Moslem to carry kramo humhum to the Presidency as the leader of the nation?
Many of those Christian leaders who campaigned for Dr Bawumia did for their stomachs, and for NPP, but, deep within Christiandom, the clergy never supported him.
These things aren’t talked about publicly for obvious reasons. But, you can observe them in how Christians see Islam in the schools that originally belonged to churches, and how Islamic students are compelled implicitly or otherwise to conform to their religious beliefs and rituals.

Don’t be deceived because Yusif and Mary are in love, and Salamatu and John are enjoying doggy, there are boundaries that Christian leaders would like to keep private when it comes to the Presidency.
Christian leaders would never accept that Islam should be on the “throne” of the nation. They would never tell it explicitly, and in public. But, that’s what it is.
These are some of the things polls can’t capture because people won’t talk about them.
Kweku Bonsu can’t win Presidencial election in Ghana now not because of his looks, but, mainly because, Christians and Moslems wouldn’t like “Bonsam” to influence the Presidency. But, Christisns don’t see Islam differently.
Meanwhile, many Ghanaian Christians visit the “bonsam” shrines and the “malams” in the night o.
I was born between the Church and the Stool Room in midnight so I knew Kwame the God of Sabbath on my day of birth before I encountered my brothers, Yeshua and Mohammed (PBT).
I’m a son of God, hence, I know that the more spiritual you get, the less religious you become.
Ghanaians are more religions, and less spiritual.
President Ablorh.
