The Office of the Special Prosecutor has reportedly taken Private Legal Practitioner Martin Kpebu into custody.
Mr. Kpebu was invited by the OSP on Wednesday, December 3, to respond to allegations he had made about Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng.
Upon arrival, he allegedly clashed with police officers at the gate and was detained before any interrogation could occur.
He was subsequently granted bail, with the condition of providing a landed property in his name as security.
However, upon his lawyer’s return, Mr. Kpebu’s whereabouts were unknown.
Mr. Kpebu has accused the office of procedural irregularities and of delegating inquiries to junior officers who report directly to Mr. Agyebeng.
