In commemoration of the one year anniversary of the December 7, 2024, election victory, President John Dramani Mahama has issued a statement reflecting on the “historic” day and reaffirming his commitment to the nation’s future.
He expressed “profound gratitude and renewed determination” as he looked back on the anxious yet hopeful moment. President Mahama thanked the millions of Ghanaians who stood in voting queues and “believed in the promise of the ResettingGhana agenda” and the collective vision to ‘Build the Ghana We Want.’ He also thanked the National Democratic Congress (NDC) rank and file, whom he called “the heartbeat of this victory.”
He specifically commended the polling agents, whose vigilance, he stated, “turned the tide.”
President Mahama also lauded the party executives and the entire election management, communications, operations, strategy, and campaign teams for their efforts.
President Mahama reaffirmed his core promise to all citizens.
”Today, I renew my pledge to every Ghanaian that we are building a Ghana for ALL our people, without discrimination, without exclusion, without favouritism.”
He asserted that “The Ghana We Want is not a dream deferred but a promise in progress.” The President stressed that his commitment to the ResettingGhana agenda remains “steadfast,” with Vice President Naana Jane and the government working daily to “create opportunities, restore hope, and rebuild trust in our institutions.”
