The Minority in Parliament has disrupted proceedings in the House while the Leader of Government Business, Mahama Ayariga, was presenting the business of the day and the need for approvals to be given for the various Ministries and agencies.
The Caucus had earlier called for an adjournment of sitting on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, after stating that they would make the business of the house suffer until the issues surrounding the Kpandai constituency rerun were settled.
Since morning, the Minority had been chanting in the House, banging their tables in protest against the Majority executing the business of the House.
The House first approved the budget estimates for some Ministries after the Minority’s call for adjournment failed through a voice vote.
They then moved to the centre of the House in a bid to disrupt the process. Speaker Alban Bagbin asked them to move to their seats, but they insisted they were not going to do so.
After some back and forth, the Marshals of the House stepped in to move the Minority members back to their seats while the proceedings continued.
