The Member of Parliament for Dormaa Central, Hon. John Kwame Adu Jack, has issued a timely reminder to drivers to exercise caution on the roads as the festive season approaches.
In a statement, Hon. Adu Jack emphasised the importance of defensive driving, urging drivers to see themselves as the only human being on the road and treat all other road users with caution.
“Defensive driving is all about taking yourself in person as the only human being on the road,” he said. “Any other person you may encounter or see on the road, whether it’s a vehicle, bicycle, tricycle, or pedestrian, should be seen as a potential hazard.”
Hon. Adu Jack stressed that the rush to get home for the festive season should not lead to reckless driving, noting that it’s better to arrive safely than to rush and risk accidents.
The MP also took the opportunity to wish his constituents a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, emphasising the importance of the season as a time of joy and celebration.
“Christmas brings good tidings for all of us, and whatever we envisage to have throughout the festivity should be fruitful for all of us,” he said.
