As part of efforts aimed at ensuring a peaceful holiday season, the Central East Regional Police Command has launched a series of intelligence-led operations, resulting in the arrest of several suspects and the seizure of dozens of motorbikes.
The exercise, which took place in the early hours of December 16 and 17, targeted known criminal hotspots, including the Kasoa Old Market, Awutu Breku, Gomoa Buduata, and Senya Breku.

According to a statement released on Friday, December 19, 2025, by DSP Victor Kofi Dosoo, Head of Public Affairs for the region, the tactical raids led to the arrest of 33 suspects.
The officers discovered substances believed to be Indian hemp (marijuana) and quantities of Tramadol.
The officers also impounded 45 motorbikes and recovered a toy gun often used in intimidatory crimes.

The Police Command also took the opportunity to issue a security advisory to the public, urging residents to stay vigilant during the celebrations. Their top safety recommendations include:
- Financial Safety: Avoid carrying large sums of cash.
- Strength in Numbers: Travel in groups, especially late at night.
- Road Safety: Riders must wear helmets, and drivers are warned against speeding and drunk driving.
- Situational Awareness: Avoid walking alone in secluded or dimly lit areas.
