The widow of the late former Deputy Finance Minister, Dr John Ampontuah Kumah, Lilian Owusu, has remarried.
Mr John Kumah died at the age of 45 on Thursday, March 7, 2024.
The marriage ceremony and pictures went viral on social media, with some social media users wondering if the widow remarried just a year after the death of the late lawmaker.
A flyer issued by the families of Lilian Owusu and her newfound husband expressed gratitude to those who witnessed their marriage ceremony.
“Thank you! Samuel Aryeequaye & Lilian Owusu are deeply thankful for your presence at our engagement ceremony. Your support, love, and well wishes mean more to us than words can express. God bless you abundantly. ‘A cord of three strands is not easily ’broken’—Ecclesiastes 4:12,” the flyer reads.
The late John Kumah was the Deputy Minister of Finance and MP for Ejisu.
He also served as Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme before his election to Parliament in the 2020 general elections on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He was married to Apostle Mrs Lilian Kumah, founder and senior pastor of Disciples of Christ Ministries Worldwide.
Lilian Kumah, now known as Apostle Lilian Aryeequaye, is the founder, senior pastor and general overseer of Disciples of Christ Ministries, also referred to as Disciples of Christ Ministries Worldwide.
