The Member of Parliament for Builsa South and Deputy Minister of Education, Dr Clement Apaak, has reiterated the government’s resolve to tackle pressing infrastructural challenges in the constituency, assuring residents of ongoing efforts to improve road networks and extend electricity to underserved communities.
Speaking at a gathering in Uwasi on Tuesday, the MP emphasised that these commitments are not mere promises but part of a broader agenda to uplift Builsa South.
He outlined steps already taken to ensure delivery, particularly in Uwasi, where residents have long called for improved infrastructure.
As part of his engagement with the community, the MP made a donation towards the construction of a community centre and pledged additional support for the rehabilitation of the local palace, underscoring his dedication to cultural and social development.
Beyond infrastructure, he highlighted interventions in health care, education, and water and sanitation that have already benefited the people of Uwasi. He noted that these initiatives form part of his vision to enhance the quality of life across the constituency.
Looking ahead, the Deputy Minister announced plans for the establishment of a Farmer’s Service Centre to support agricultural productivity, alongside the creation of an Agricultural College in Builsa South.
These projects, he explained, will provide farmers with technical assistance and training opportunities while also positioning the constituency as a hub for agricultural education in the Upper East Region.
Residents welcomed the announcements, expressing optimism that the initiatives will address longstanding challenges and open new opportunities for development in Builsa South.
