Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Government Spokesperson, has condemned the assault on a Class Media journalist.
In a Facebook post, he described the incident as unacceptable.
He was responding to a viral video in which firefighters, deployed to the Kasoa Market to contain an outbreak, were seen assaulting a journalist.
While it remains unclear what the journalist did to warrant the attack, his attackers were seen hitting him several times with a helmet.
Commenting on the incident, the Minister labeled the officers as “rogue elements” and assured the public that action would be taken against them for the assault.
“The attack on Class Media Group’s Samuel Addo by some personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service is most unacceptable and I condemn same. Firm action will be taken against the rogue elements who carried out this attack,” he wrote.
