A suspected mobile phone thief, popularly known as “Charlie Charlie,” was subjected to a severe beating after allegedly stealing an iPhone from a barbershop.
The incident began when the young man visited the shop for a haircut.
Finding a queue, he waited for a short period before informing the barber that he was stepping out to buy food, promising to return shortly for his turn.
However, he had secretly made off with an iPhone belonging to another customer who had left the device charging.
The theft was quickly discovered after his departure. Charlie Charlie was pursued, apprehended, and brought back to the shop.
During a search, the stolen phone was discovered hidden inside his pants.
As a form of public humiliation, he was forced to hold his ears and jump up and down while singing Christmas carols.
Throughout this ordeal, he was also severely beaten.
The group initially intended to hand him over to the police; however, an elderly woman who witnessed the scene intervened.
She pleaded for his release, arguing that since the phone had been recovered and the suspect had already been punished, he should be let go.
