A farmer, identified as Emma, allegedly assaulted and injured his brother and sister-in-law during a violent confrontation over a disputed cashew plantation.
The incident occurred at Tain-Ano No. 1, in the Jaman South Municipality of the Bono Region. According to reports, the violence stemmed from a long-standing ownership dispute between the suspect and his brother.
On the day of the attack, Emma was reportedly working on the farm when the couple confronted him, demanding that he vacate the land.
The situation escalated from a heated argument into a physical altercation, during which Emma allegedly overpowered the pair and inflicted injuries with a cutlass.
Following the assault, Emma fled the scene but later surrendered to the police at Asiri in the Jaman North District. The victims were rushed to St. Mary’s Hospital in Drobo for medical treatment.
