Communication team member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Bonsu, has encouraged Mr. Anthony Kwesi Sarpong, the Commissioner General of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), for bringing new reforms to the Authority.
He asserted that since the man was appointed, he has rolled out initiatives that have given the GRA a positive outlook.
Appearing on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, he noted that the Commissioner General has also developed a healthy relationship with the community.
He said the Ghana Union of Traders and other trade unions have also recognised how significantly the work of the new Commissioner General has affected the business sector.
“Anthony Akwesi Sarpong is an exceptional Commissioner. He has been efficient, effective, and most importantly competent. He has developed a positive working relationship with the business community, and that has developed some level of trust among them. That’s a good thing because, on the contrary, we saw and heard how the business community complained of being harassed and intimidated, but under the new Commissioner, something positive is happening. I think we must commend President John Dramani Mahama for appointing him into office. It would have been unfortunate if President Mahama had not appointed him. He is delivering on his mandate, and we must all support him.”
