A man identified as Kwaku Ananse has allegedly shot his fiancée to death after the woman informed him that she was no longer interested in the relationship.
The suspect, who is a hunter, is currently on the run. The deceased has been identified as Afia Pomaah, 48, a mother of seven adult children.
Hanna Oduro, popularly known as Mama and the daughter of the deceased, said her mother dated the suspect for three years in a relationship that she claimed was started under a love spell.
She alleged that her mother was influenced through a spell cast by the lover and abandoned her seven children to go stay with the man.
According to her, they made several efforts to have their mother leave the man; however, whenever they made the attempt, she would go ahead and tell the suspect.
In her narration, she stated that the suspect did not take good care of their mother, who was an asthmatic patient.
She said the children were the ones who took care of her medical bills despite their mother dating the hunter.
She also revealed that the hunter threatened to kill their mother should she leave him, adding that “he even told my mother she would not be able to leave him because he had cast a spell on her.”
The police have launched an investigation into the story and are on a manhunt for the suspect.
