Mr David Kankam Boadu, an aspiring National Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has firmly refuted claims that he has exited the contest.
He asserts that he remains the only candidate with an impeccable party record and high credibility, maintaining that he has no “skeletons in his cupboard” compared to other contenders.
As a founding member of both the national NPP and its UK branch, Mr. Boadu noted that other aspirants who have expressed interest in the chairmanship carry blemished records that will eventually work against them.
During an interview on the programme As It Is in Ghana on Rainbow Radio, he touted his long history of party discipline, personal sacrifice, and unwavering dedication to the NPP’s roots.
He was particularly blunt regarding those spreading rumors of his withdrawal, suggesting that anyone peddling such falsehoods is “mentally unstable.”
He questioned the idea that any rival candidate could intimidate him, stating that no one in the party holds a stronger political personality or a more unblemished record than his own.
He challenged the other candidates to prove they are equally free of political baggage.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Boadu maintained that he possesses the specific vision required to transform the NPP.
His primary goals involve restructuring the party’s front and uniting the north to ensure a decisive victory in the 2028 elections.
He highlighted his deep experience, noting that he has witnessed the party’s entire journey, from the era of military takeovers to the establishment of modern democracy in Ghana.
