The Western North Region’s Juaboso District Police have apprehended a 55-year-old man, identified as William Gyamfi, alias Kwasi Manso, for allegedly stabbing a family member, Akua Agyeiwaa, in both eyes with scissors during a domestic dispute in Sefwi Abrokofe.
The incident reportedly stemmed from a misunderstanding between the two individuals, culminating in Gyamfi’s alleged assault on the victim.
Agyeiwaa suffered critical injuries and was rushed to Juaboso Government Hospital for emergency treatment.
Following the incident, police received a report and dispatched a patrol team to apprehend Gyamfi, who had been assaulted by residents.
The suspect also sustained visible injuries, including a swollen left eye and forehead, and bleeding on his left leg
He was treated at Juaboso Government Hospital before his discharge.
He is currently in police custody, assisting with ongoing investigations.
