The Kade District Court has found four individuals guilty and handed down sentences for their involvement in the violent assault on a teacher at Kade Senior High Technical School (KASTEC).
A fifth suspect, a juvenile, was processed separately in accordance with the law, while a sixth suspect was apprehended and remanded into custody.
The court, presided over by David Ofori, heard the case on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
The accused, Felix Darquah, Isaac Baah, Richmond Yeah, Edward Baah, and Maxwell Kwasi Antwi, were charged with brutally attacking teacher Michael Quayson.
The four adult convicts were each fined GH₵1,800 or sentenced to six months’ imprisonment and ordered to pay GH₵2,000 in compensation to the victim.
Maxwell, being a juvenile, was dealt with separately as per legal provisions.
Additionally, Kingsley Baah, a sixth suspect who initially fled the scene, was subsequently arrested and remanded into custody for a period of two weeks.
