The Ashanti Regional Police Command has apprehended four individuals in connection with a robbery incident that occurred on December 7, 2025, at Kunsu.
The suspects, identified as Yaya Shiebu alias Diamond (24), Atta Israel alias Stone (32), Victor Gyan alias City Boy (26), and Wiafi Akenten (30), are believed to be part of a robbery gang that has been terrorizing residents with firearms.

According to DCOP Osei Akoto Arthur, the Ashanti Regional Police Commander, the suspects were arrested following a tip-off.
During a press conference, DCOP Arthur disclosed that items recovered from the suspects include two pump-action guns, three cutlasses, five mobile phones, 22 bullets, and GH¢54,000.



The suspects allegedly waylaid Mr. Kingsley Asare and his brothers, who were returning from their mining site, and stole gold, money, and a gun.
Police investigations revealed that the robbers wore masks and threatened the victims with violence if they resisted.

The suspects are currently in police custody, assisting with investigations, and will be arraigned in court soon.
DCOP Osei Akoto Arthur assured the public that the police are working diligently to ensure the safety and security of citizens, promising to provide protection and guidance to all.
