This action follows a formal recommendation from the Auditor-General and is part of an effort to verify and clean the government payroll, which was conducted across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) in 2025.

The CAGD has instructed all affected personnel to contact the Ghana Audit Service immediately to verify their employment status and complete the necessary clearance procedures, after which their salaries will be reinstated.

The department reaffirms its commitment to transparency and accountability in public financial management, ensuring timely and legitimate salary payments in accordance with existing laws and regulations.
