A key supporter of Kennedy Agyapong, Owusu Bempah, has stated in a media interview that the team anticipates former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will concede defeat after the election.
Speaking to journalists at the NPP headquarters, he expressed confidence that Dr. Bawumia would follow precedent, referencing his concession to President John Dramani Mahama.
Ernest Owusu Bempah noted that the electoral process has been proceeding smoothly and highlighted the high momentum surrounding Kennedy Agyapong’s campaign due to his projected win.
He emphasised that party delegates have rallied behind Kennedy Agyapong, believing him to be the sole candidate capable of securing victory for the party.
Furthermore, Owusu Bempah stated that Kennedy Agyapong’s victory would be one of the most significant upsets in the NPP’s history.
According to him, the NPP is focused on regaining power in 2028, and delegates are aware that Kennedy Agyapong is the only candidate who can guarantee this outcome.
The delegates, Owusu Bempah added, are seeking a credible candidate who can secure victory for the party, and Kennedy Agyapong is the clear frontrunner, poised to deliver a winning speech at the party’s headquarters.
