Ghana Police declare gang leader “Hoyeefi” Wanted; Offer GH₵50,000 Reward

The Ghana Police Service’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has officially declared a suspect, identified as Hoyeefi, wanted in connection with a series of violent robberies in the Ahafo Region.

According to investigations, Hoyeefi is alleged to be the mastermind behind the coordinated attacks, including a high-profile incident on December 2, 2025.

A press release issued on February 1, 2026, by Chief Inspector Brigitte Babanawo noted that the gang’s operations targeted institutions in Nkaseim and surrounding areas, specifically the Nkaseim Police Station, Adwumapa Cocoa Buying Company, Kobby Gold Buying Company, and the Asutifi Rural Bank.

The Police Service has announced a reward of GH₵50,000 for credible information leading directly to Hoyeefi’s arrest.

Individuals with information regarding his whereabouts are encouraged to report to the nearest police station or contact the emergency hotlines: 191, 112, or 18555.
