A 17-year-old boy, Osei Kwame, has been hospitalised with critical injuries after allegedly being subjected to severe physical abuse in Assin Breku.
According to reports, the teenager was tied to a tricycle and dragged along a rough road by an angry father, identified as 36-year-old Issah Boamah, who is currently on the run.
The victim reportedly sustained serious injuries, including torn clothing, after being forced to choose between death and physical harm.
Osei Kwame claims that Boamah had previously warned him to stay away from his 14-year-old daughter, with whom he admitted to having a relationship.
The victim alleges that Boamah subjected him to the inhumane treatment and stole Ghc 800 from him. Osei Kwame is currently receiving medical attention for his injuries.
“The man warned me to stay away from his daughter, so I obliged. I travelled out of the community and went to Prestea to work. But upon returning from my journey, the suspect’s daughter convinced me to meet her at her house. I went to meet her, but unfortunately, her father came to meet us and asked why I was with his daughter when he had warned me to stay away. He then tied my hands and legs, tied the rope to the tricycle, and asked if I preferred death or injuries. Out of fear, I chose injuries. He then took off. I had GHC 800 on me, but unfortunately, the money went missing.”
