The Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has implemented significant changes to senior positions within the Ghana Police Service, effective immediately.
This shake-up aims to strengthen leadership and enhance operational efficiency across the service.
Several Commissioners of Police and Deputy Commissioners of Police have been reassigned to new roles in key departments and regions.
The IGP noted that these changes form part of ongoing efforts to improve leadership, operational efficiency, and service delivery.
Key appointments include COP Dr. Sayibu Pabi Gariba as Director General/NAPD, COP Iddi Lansah Seidu as Director General/Tech, and COP Dr. Vance Baba Gariba as Director General/Research and Planning.
Other notable appointments include COP Emmanuel Teye-Cudjoe as Director General/Operations and DCOP Darko Offei Lomotey as Director General/PPSB. Regional commanders appointed include DCOP Charles K. Adu for the Eastern Region, DCOP George B. Ohene Boadi for the Central Region, and DCOP George Ankomah for the Eastern North Region.
Additionally, DCOP Alex Kodjo Wowolo has been appointed Commander, Central MTTD/Ashanti Region.
