The Honourable Joseph Kofi Kyeretwie Boakye Danquah-Adu has been eulogised by Ivy, Anima (his widow), Adobea, the Heward-Mills, and Jones-Quartey.
According to his widow and family, the late Member of Parliament was a figure whose presence had a profound impact on Ghanaian politics, and his absence continues to be deeply felt in Parliament and among his constituents.
In their eulogy, the family noted that the late MP, affectionately known as JB, was more than just a politician – he was a bridge-builder, successful businessman, and devoted family man.
As the family, including Ivy, Anima, Adobea, the Heward-Mills, the Jones-Quarteys, and allied families, gather to commemorate this solemn occasion, the theme of enduring love and unwavering values is underscored.
The family emphasised that despite ten years having passed, his presence remains felt in their hearts and lives daily, and his counsel and example continue to guide and inspire a new generation carrying the Danquah-Adu legacy.
Hon. Joseph Kofi Kyeretwie Boakye Danquah-Adu (July 2, 1965 – February 9, 2016) was a prominent Ghanaian politician and chartered accountant who served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Abuakwa North constituency.
He served two terms in the Parliament of Ghana, representing the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
His first term was from 2005 to 2009, and he returned to the house in 2013, serving until his passing in 2016.
