I have arrived in Burkina Faso for a 2-day official visit.

My delegation and I were warmly welcomed at the airport by the Foreign Minister of Burkina Faso, His Excellency Karamoko Jean-Marie Traoré and by Ghana’s Ambassador to Burkina Faso, His Excellency Kenneth Akibate.

Before leaving Ghana for Burkina Faso, I was at the 37 Military Hospital this morning to express empathy with our compatriots who were airlifted back home by the Ghana Air Force after sustaining injuries from the February 14 terrorist attack.

My visit will focus on security cooperation, political consultations and signing of strategic agreements.
