Mahdi Gibril, the Acting Director of Elections and IT for the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), has asserted that Ghanaians maintain strong confidence in President John Dramani Mahama’s administration.
According to Gibril, the goodwill currently enjoyed by the government remains robust.
He emphasised that both the party and the administration are committed to doing everything necessary to preserve this public trust.
He noted that Ghanaians expect leadership defined by service, accountability, and transparency—qualities he believes President Mahama is actively delivering.
Speaking on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, Gibril stated that the NDC remains strong and is currently embarking on a comprehensive reorganisation drive, starting from the branch level up to the national stage.
He acknowledged that the citizens who voted decisively for the party expect the government to fulfil its mandate in its entirety.
Regarding the party’s internal progress and the government’s performance, Mahdi Gibril stated:
“The NDC as a party is doing well. We have started with our reorganisation and the registration of new members at the branch levels. We wish to extend our gratitude to our party leaders from the branch, constituency, regional, and national levels for the work they are doing for this reorganisation.
The government is also doing well. The indices are all pointing to a positive outlook. This makes you, as a party officer, proud that your work was not in vain. It makes you confident that you helped in electing a leader who is competent, dedicated, and delivering on his mandate. Ghanaians are confident that in spite of the challenges, we have a leader who is prepared to serve.”
Mahdi Gibril extended his best wishes to the Muslim community as they begin the annual fast of Ramadan. He offered prayers that this period would bring new beginnings for all Ghanaians, particularly those of the Islamic faith.
