A student from Obrachire Senior High Technical School was assaulted by students from Swedru School of Business (SWESBUS) during the District Schools Athletics Games, an event intended to foster youth talent and sportsmanship.
The incident took place on Thursday, February 19, in Agona Swedru, and involved a clash between students from the two institutions.
During the altercation, a student from Obrachire was attacked by a group of SWESBUS students, who allegedly threw stones and used sticks to beat him.
Circulating videos on social media depict the student being subjected to violent assault before being rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.
The incident has since been reported to the police, who have initiated an investigation.
