The Information Services Department (ISD) has revealed that the 69th Independence Anniversary Parade will be held at the Forecourt of the Presidency.
The national event is scheduled for Friday, March 6, 2026.
This would be the second consecutive time the celebration is being held at the Jubilee House.
It has therefore officially opened applications for media accreditation to cover the upcoming 69th Independence Anniversary Parade.
In a statement signed by the acting director, Dr Winnifred N. Mahama, the department noted that due to space constraints and the anticipated high volume of requests, each media house will be limited to one (1) accreditation slot.
However, reporters already holding standing accreditation for the presidency are permitted to cover the event using their existing credentials.
Application Details
Media houses must submit an official letter of assignment containing the names and contact details of their nominated personnel.
The ISD noted that applications should be sent to accreditation@isd.gov.gh no later than 5:00 pm on Friday, February 27, 2026.
Accredited personnel must arrive by 6:45 am for security clearance. Late arrivals may be denied entry.
Meanwhile, personal live streaming via mobile devices is strictly prohibited.
However, a clean/raw feed will be provided by Presidency Communications and GTV for broadcasters.
The statement added that only professional gear is allowed.
The use of drones or aerial devices is forbidden without prior written approval, the statement added.
Media personnel are required to remain in designated zones and dress in formal or business attire.
All movement must cease during the National Anthem, the Presidential Address, and other key ceremonial moments, the ISD statement read.
