A lone driver has tragically lost his life following a heavy-duty vehicle accident at Kordzeto on Thursday afternoon.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) Hohoe Command disclosed that it was alerted to the scene at approximately 3:09 PM.
Upon arrival, rescue teams found a trailer—loaded heavily with bags of cement—severely damaged, with the driver trapped inside the wreckage.

The firefighters said they successfully extricated the driver from the cabin; however, he was pronounced dead shortly after.
DOIII Bismark Hosu-Porbley, the Hohoe Municipal Commander, personally supervised the technical rescue operation.
A statement issued by the service noted that the rescue teams worked into the evening to mitigate secondary hazards, including clearing spilt cargo and neutralising potential fire risks on the roadway.
The cause of the accident is unknown, but an investigation is underway.

There was extensive damage to the vehicle, and the scattered cement cargo caused significant traffic disruptions throughout the afternoon.
