The Embassy of the Republic of Ghana in Doha has issued a high-priority security alert, advising all Ghanaian nationals residing in Qatar to remain indoors until further notice.
The directive follows a confirmed missile attack impacting the Qatari capital.
In a formal statement released on Saturday, February 28, 2026, the Embassy explained that the order was prompted by a sudden escalation of regional tensions and the direct impact of a missile within Doha.
The official communique urged immediate compliance:“Due to the missile attack and its impact in Doha, please take shelter until further notice and obtain information from official sources,” the statement said.
To ensure maximum safety during this period of instability, the Embassy has outlined several critical precautionary measures for its citizens. Ghanaians are strictly admonished to stay away from military installations and crowded public spaces to avoid high-risk areas, while also ensuring that essential supplies—including food, water, and necessary medications—are kept readily accessible. Furthermore, individuals are urged to stay informed by monitoring official communication channels and verified news outlets for real-time updates to minimize potential exposure to danger.
The Embassy continues to monitor the situation closely and advises all Ghanaians to prioritize their personal safety above all else.
