The Sakumono District Police Command has apprehended three individuals, namely Francis Amuzu, 44 years old; William Adison, 36 years old; and Vincent Adzikah, 34 years old, in connection with the alleged lynching of Austin Tengeeh, a 26-year-old Liberian national.
The deceased’s body has been deposited at the Sakumono Community Hospital, and the necessary diplomatic protocols are being observed.
According to a police situational report, the Sakumono District Patrol Team received a distress call on Friday, 27th February 2026, regarding a man being attacked and severely beaten by a group of individuals near ECG, Lashibi.
Upon arrival, officers found Austin Tengeeh, with visible marks of assault, who was subsequently conveyed to the Sakumono Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Investigations suggest that the mob allegedly mistakenly identified the victim as a thief.
Meanwhile, the Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team from the National Police Headquarters is conducting a manhunt for an additional suspect believed to have conspired with the others in the commission of the crime.
