The Member of Parliament for Kwadaso Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Kingsley Nyarko, has taken a swipe at the government, alleging that ‘dumsor’ had returned, causing serious problems for Ghanaians.
He said the situation confirms a long-held perception that this government, particularly President John Dramani Mahama, is incompetent on power management.
The lawmaker posited that we saw a similar situation under his first term, and the situation had now repeated.
Speaking in a media interview, he said what Ghanaians are experiencing today with dumsor returning is a result of the NDC’s poor governance.
“The NPP administration had stable power, but under this government, we’re experiencing outages again. The NDC government must bow their heads in shame; everything is in a mess,” Nyarko said, adding that Ghana has regressed under current leadership.
He lamented that almost all parts of Kumasi were in darkness on Sunday, March 8, 2026.
He also criticised the government’s handling of the economy, citing high costs of living and decreased cocoa prices affecting farmers.
He urged the government to take immediate action to address the power issue and economic challenges.
