A 31-year-old woman, Vivian Anto, has been arrested for allegedly severing her nine-year-old daughter’s toe as a punishment for returning home late.
The suspect is alleged to have used a pair of scissors to amputate the girl’s right second toe (index toe).
Following the incident, the victim was taken to the Kofikrom SDA Hospital in the Juaboso District of the Western North Region, where she is currently receiving medical treatment.
