The Member of Parliament for Builsa South, Dr Clement Abas Apaak, has assured residents of the district that more teachers will soon be deployed to improve teaching and learning in schools.
According to him, the Ghana Education Service is set to open a recruitment portal on April 10, 2026, to engage new teachers across the country.
Speaking during a sod-cutting ceremony for educational projects in the district on Tuesday, Dr Apaak indicated that he will take advantage of the opportunity to secure additional teachers for the Builsa South District to address staffing gaps in various schools.
He noted that the move forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the education sector and ensure that students receive quality instruction in conducive learning environments.
The MP emphasised that increasing the number of teachers in the district will help reduce pressure on existing staff, improve student-teacher ratios, and ultimately enhance academic performance.
Residents and stakeholders have welcomed the assurance, expressing hope that the recruitment exercise will bring much-needed relief to schools facing teacher shortages in the district.
