The Ghana Football Association has appointed Carlos Queiroz as the new head coach of the Black Stars.
A veteran with an illustrious career spanning Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Portugal, Queiroz arrives with a formidable World Cup pedigree.
His record includes qualifying South Africa for the 2002 tournament, guiding Portugal to the 2010 knockout stages, and leading Iran through both the 2014 and 2018 editions.
Having also managed in Egypt, Oman, Japan, and Qatar, he brings extensive international experience to his new role.
Queiroz is set to commence work immediately to oversee preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, hosted across Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
Ghana’s campaign begins in Toronto on 17 June 2026 against Panama, followed by crucial Group Stage fixtures against England and Croatia.
