IGP promotes 7 officers for roles in Tema anti-robbery.

The Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has promoted seven officers from the Tema Regional Police Command to acknowledge their exceptional performance during a recent anti-robbery operation.

This merit-based elevation follows the officers’ rapid response to a violent attack on a mobile money vendor in Tema Community 5.

Their decisive actions resulted in the shooting of two suspected robbers and the subsequent recovery of a firearm, ammunition, and various pieces of evidence.

Those elevated to their next ranks include Chief Inspector Enoch Nartey Nuer, Inspector Gershon Dekpey, Inspector Prince Asante, Sergeant Lukman Mohammed, Sergeant Eugene Kuudouru, Corporal Jerome Akator, and Lance Corporal Jonathan Sewurah.

During the commendation ceremony, Mr Yohuno and members of the Police Management Board (POMAB) expressed their pride in the team, specifically praising their bravery, discipline, and unwavering dedication to duty.

While celebrating their success, the IGP reminded the newly promoted officers that their advancement represents a call to greater responsibility.

He concluded by urging all personnel within the Ghana Police Service to emulate this standard of excellence, maintaining the highest levels of professionalism and commitment in their service to the public.
