The High Court of Ghana (General Jurisdiction 2) has granted bail to Abubakar Yakubu, the NPP Sunyani East Communications Officer popularly known as Baba Amando, following a two-week remand by an Accra Circuit Court.

The court admitted him to bail in the sum of GH¢30,000 with two sureties and ordered him to report to the police every two weeks as investigations proceed.

Yakubu was arrested on April 13, 2026, on allegations of offensive conduct, false publication, and circulating statements likely to incite fear and panic.

While formal charges have not yet been filed, the investigation reportedly stems from alleged threats directed at an Adentan Circuit Court judge and the posting of derogatory images featuring the President and other government officials.
