The Agona Swedru District Police Command has arrested six men for allegedly posing as security officials and assaulting foreign nationals at a manufacturing firm in the Central Region.
The incident took place around midday on 6 May 2026, when the group arrived at S. I. Jun Manufacturing Company Limited in Agona Akwakwa.
Travelling in a Toyota Land Cruiser, four of the men wore Ghana Immigration Service and military camouflage, while two remained in plain clothes.
Claiming to be National Security operatives, the suspects reportedly harassed and assaulted several Chinese employees.
Upon arriving at the scene, police officers found the victims, identified as Man Guan, Chin Min, and Ma Kaixiang, held in handcuffs.
The suspects—Agyemang Benjamin, Mahama Iddrisu Dawuda Seidu, Ofori Isaac, Adom Bills, Hayford Boafo, and Ato Mchenry—were promptly taken into custody.
All six individuals are currently detained at the Agona Swedru District Police Headquarters while investigations continue.
Authorities have notified the Military Police and Immigration Command, and National Security officials are now working to verify the suspects’ true identities as the legal process moves forward.
